My grandfather introduced me to Willie Nelson’s music when I was just a tot. Any Willie fan will tell you there is something about his soul and his sound that is palpable. So, after college I set my sights on Willie country and now here I am in Austin, Texas, just down the road from his ranch. This pencil + paper sketch is an ode to the one and only Willie Nelson.
